It’s my new Le Creuset stockpot. My husband bought it for me for Mother’s Day! He’s a good one.
I use it to make stock, soup, pasta, chili. I often start planning for dinner with the question, “how can I make dinner and use my stockpot?” It’s made of carbon steel (covered with enamel) so it heats up fast, and evenly. Pasta water boils quickly. Soups and stews simmer nicely at low temperatures.
I think it’s rare to have a useful and beautiful item in the kitchen. I love the color this brings to the stovetop.
